Prishtina, January 31, 2025
The Government of the Republic of Kosovo held its regular meeting, the 247th in a row, in which it reviewed and approved decisions from the areas of its constitutional and legal responsibilities.
With the first decision adopted at this meeting, the List of Common Use Items, which are the subject of the central public procurement procedure, was approved.
Following the meeting, the Draft National Development Plan for the years 2025-2027 was approved.
It continued with the approval of the decision on changes in Tables 3.1 and 3.2 of the Law on Budgetary Allocations for the Budget of the Republic of Kosovo for the year 2025, in order to fulfill the unfulfilled financial and contractual obligations from the previous year.
The Government, after reviewing the request of the Central Election Commission, has approved the decision to allocate budgetary funds in the amount of five hundred and twenty-five thousand euros for the implementation of the “Project for Counting Technology in the Municipal Counting Center and the Counting and Results Center”.
Budgetary funds in the amount of five hundred thousand euros (500,000) have been allocated for humanitarian aid in Gaza.
The Government has approved the decision to appoint Mr. Arton Ahmeti to the position of Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers.
At this meeting, the proposed decisions for the expropriation in the public interest of immovable properties, which are affected by the implementation of the projects: expansion of the National Road N9 Kijevë-Zahaq, Dollc-Ramun Segment; expansion of the National Road N2 Segment “Entry to the City of Ferizaj”; construction of the Regional Road R-118 Mushtisht-Shtërpcë; expansion of the National Road N25, Segment QMI-Lipjan were approved.
The Government has reviewed and approved the request of the Ministry of Health for the payment of two hundred and twenty-four (224) self-financed specialists and the payment of thirty (30) self-financed specialists from the Presheva Valley and Montenegro.
After the review, the Government has approved the decision for the use of the properties of the Kosovo Forest Agency, for the needs of the Ministry of Defense and the Kosovo Security Force. The properties are located in Batllava, Podujeva Municipality, the place called the Surdulli River and registered as socially owned – Forestry Enterprise.
At today’s meeting, the Organizing Council for the celebration of the seventeenth anniversary of Kosovo’s Independence was established. The decision obliges the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and the Organizing Council to implement this decision.
The Government has also approved the request of the Municipality of Pristina for the approval of the budget for 2025, after its approval by the Municipal Assembly, while it has also approved the request of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports for the allocation of budgetary funds in the amount of 5,000 euros for the implementation of the project “House No. 10” in the old town of Janjevë in Lipjan.
The decision to approve the preliminary financial statement for the execution of the budget and the balance of funds for 2024 was also adopted.
Among the decisions approved at today’s Government meeting is the appointment of an ad-hoc commission for professional assessment for admission to the senior management position, Executive Director at the Central Labor Inspectorate.
Also, the decision to appoint an ad-hoc commission for admission to the senior management position, Director General of the Agency for the Administration of Seized and Confiscated Assets within the Ministry of Justice, has received the approval of the Government Cabinet at today’s meeting.
