The Government of the Republic of Kosovo has held an electronic meeting in which, at the request of the municipalities of Dragash, Prishtina, Prizren, Drenas, Fushë Kosova, Skenderaj, Obiliq, Ferizaj, Shtërpce, Kaçanik and Gjakova, it has approved the decision to postpone the deadline of the process of the Census of Population, Family Economy and Housing until May 24, 2024.
According to the proposal of the Kosovo Statistics Agency, from May 18 to 24, 2024, the registration/interviews will be conducted only by the regular staff of the Kosovo Statistics Agency who will cover the entire territory of Kosovo for cases where an individual or households is identified that for whatever reason could not be registered earlier.
Meanwhile, at the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora and the Kosovo Statistics Agency, the registration of the diaspora, through the eDiaspora portal, is postponed until August 31, 2024.
For more details, the Statistics Agency of Kosovo will issue a press release and make public the action plan for the additional registration period from May 18-24, 2024.
