Prishtina, 14 October 2026
The Government of the Republic of Kosovo held its regular meeting today, at which it:
• Approved the Draft Law on the Emergency Management Agency, which regulates the mission, duties, responsibilities and funding arrangements of the Emergency Management Agency.
• Approved the Draft Law on the Central Inspectorate of Agriculture, Food Safety, Veterinary and Forestry, which aims to establish, organize and regulate the functioning of the Central Inspectorate of Agriculture, Food Safety, Veterinary and Forestry.
• Approved the Programme for the Ex-Post Evaluation of Legal Acts for 2026–2028.
• Allocated budgetary funds in the amount of €1,852,350.16 (one million eight hundred and fifty-two thousand three hundred and fifty euros and sixteen cents) to the Albanian National Council, pursuant to Request No. 192-01/26, dated 6 October 2026.
• Approved the request of the Ministry for Communities and Return to dispose of/sell official vehicles that are unusable and no longer in service within the Ministry for Communities and Return.
• Approved the request of the Kosovo Privatization Agency for the return of funds amounting to €5,705 (five thousand seven hundred and five euros), transferred to the Budget of the Republic of Kosovo, for the socially owned enterprise “Komogllava”.
• Approved the decision to amend and supplement Government Decision No. 01/64, dated 25 February 2022, on the implementation of international sanctions, with the aim of aligning the foreign policy of the Republic of Kosovo with the European Union’s Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP).
• Approved the decision to request that the President of the Republic of Kosovo authorize the Minister of Labour, Family and the Values of the Liberation War to sign the Social Security Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo, represented by the Ministry of Labour, Family and the Values of the Liberation War, and the Republic of Austria, represented by the Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection.
• Approved the decision to request that the President of the Republic of Kosovo authorize the Minister of Labour, Family and the Values of the Liberation War to sign the Social Security Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo, represented by the Ministry of Labour, Family and the Values of the Liberation War, and the Republic of Türkiye, represented by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.
• Approved the Draft Law on the Central Inspectorate of Cultural Heritage. This draft law establishes the Central Inspectorate of Cultural Heritage, which will strengthen the protection of monuments and assets that bear witness to the history and identity of our country. The Inspectorate will be responsible for intervening wherever cultural heritage is at risk, immediately halting unauthorized works and taking measures against interventions that damage it, including restoration works that fail to comply with the required standards.
• Approved the request of the Ministry of Local Government Administration for the allocation of financial resources to subsidize the renovation of houses for members of minority communities in the municipalities of North Mitrovica and Zveçan.
• Approved the decision to establish a Working Group to draft, coordinate and harmonize the State Strategy on appeal proceedings before the Specialist Chambers in The Hague. The Working Group will be chaired by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Glauk Konjufca, and will include institutional and parliamentary representation to coordinate legal, institutional and diplomatic support for the appeal proceedings.
• Appointed the Interim Board of Directors of the Central Publicly Owned Enterprise “Waste Management Company” JSC, to ensure the company’s regular operations and decision-making until a full-term Board is appointed. The Board comprises:

- Halit Kadriu, Member;
- Azemine Demiri-Gazideda, Member;
- Lirie Rrahimi-Ademi, Member.
