The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, received the Head of the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Kosovo (BSPK), Atdhe Hykolli.
Prime Minister Kurti congratulated the Head Hykolli on his re-election, reconfirming the continuation of cooperation with the BSPK.
At the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo is interested in the country having stronger trade unions that are committed to the benefit of workers. He added that the Government will contribute to strengthening social dialogue and protecting workers’ rights.
While Kosovo is in an important phase of economic and institutional consolidation, Prime Minister Kurti said that workers remain the main pillar of development. He also spoke about increasing the minimum wage to 500 euros, increasing the number of inspectors and committing to legal changes aimed at improving the position of workers.
