The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, hosted writers and curators Dan Hicks and Françoise Vergès, accompanied by literary scholar Diona Budima, in a meeting today.

Acting Prime Minister Kurti congratulated writers and curators Hicks and Vergès for the discussion moderated by scholar Budima, held on June 10 at the National Library of Kosovo “Pjetër Bogdani”, as part of the “In Conversation” program.

Hicks is a professor of contemporary archaeology at the University of Oxford and a curator at the Pitt Rivers Museum, who has researched the material and visual culture of the human past for three decades, including the modern, colonial, contemporary and digital worlds. Meanwhile, Vergès is a feminist activist, writer, independent curator and public educator. She is the author of a large number of books and publications.

Both have, over the years, articulated their bold and sharp thoughts on the museum, the monument, and the cultural institutions of modernity.
