The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the Acting Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, the Acting Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, and the Acting Deputy Minister of Economy, Getoar Mjeku, attended the breakfast hosted by the Kosovo-Turkish Chamber of Commerce.
In his opening remarks, Acting Prime Minister Kurti thanked Turkey for its continuous support to the Republic of Kosovo, while stressing that relations between the two countries are excellent.
In addition to the growing economic and trade cooperation with Turkey, Acting Prime Minister Kurti spoke with particular emphasis on cooperation in the development of the defence industry of the Republic of Kosovo, specifically in ammunition production.
During this working breakfast, Acting Prime Minister Kurti presented plans for four new railway lines as links with the region and Europe, as well as for the internal network: the commencement of the construction of the Gjakova–Shkodër railway, as part of the Prishtina–Durrës railway; the completion of Railway Line 10, Hani i Elezit – Fushë Kosovë – Mitrovica – Leshak; the design of the Prizren – Ferizaj – Gjilan – Bujanoc railway line; and the preparation of the Prishtina – Airport railway line.
He also spoke about the construction of five new dams in Firajë, Pollatë, Kuçicë, Dragaçinë, and Desivojcë.
