Prishtina, 22 May 2026
The acting Government of the Republic of Kosovo held its regular meeting today, during which it:
• Approved the Annual Report on Inspections. The Report reflects the continuous commitment to strengthening the inspection system, increasing the efficiency, professionalism and proportionality of inspections, as well as advancing coordination among inspection bodies at the central and local levels.
• Approved the decision appointing the Recruitment Commission for the senior management position of Executive Director of the Investment and Export Agency.
• Approved the request for declaration of public interest for the transfer of municipal property under the ownership of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade for the development of the Industrial and Technological Park in the Municipality of Gjilan.
• Approved the request for the allocation of budgetary funds in the amount of €1,000,000.00 (one million euros) for the implementation of Measure 3.4 – Food Vouchers for Families in Need, within the framework of the Economic Revival Package.
• Approved the decision appointing the Public-Private Partnership Committee.
• Approved the decision for the further review of the request of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade for expropriation in the public interest of the formerly socially-owned properties “Virginia” and “Metaliku”, which are under the management and administration of the Kosovo Privatization Agency and are affected by the construction of the “Industrial Zone” in the Municipality of Gjakova.
• Approved the decision on the Inflation Coping Package 2.0, with the following measures:
- One-time support for beneficiaries of pension schemes;
- One-time support for all children benefiting from the child allowance scheme;
- Support for all employees declared in the month of April with monthly income below 1,000 euros who are not included in the payroll paid from the state budget. This includes the private sector and the other public sector outside budget organisations, including civil society organisations, public enterprises and other organisations; and
- Support for all active and regular students in the 2025/2026 academic year in higher education institutions in Kosovo who meet the eligibility criteria under this decision.
