The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, with colleagues and associates, paid homage at the cemetery of martyrs and the fallen in Çabrat, Gjakova, in honor of their sacrifice for the freedom and independence of the state.
In addition to the tributes, Acting Prime Minister Kurti met with families of martyrs and the fallen of the municipality of Gjakova, which in the just and liberation war gave the country 361 martyrs and 1022 martyrs.
Between May 7 and 11, 1999 alone, 26 fallen and more than 100 martyrs fell in this municipality, including children, youth, the elderly, women and men, whose murders are evidence of Serbia’s genocide in Kosovo, with the aim of exterminating Albanians.
