The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Kosovo has signed two memorandums of cooperation with the Institute for Islamic Cultural Heritage, in the capacity of the authorized party by the Islamic Community of Kosovo.
The memorandums were signed by the Acting Minister of Culture and Tourism, Saranda Bogujevci, and the Chief Imam of the Institute for Islamic Cultural Heritage, Vedat Sahiti, in the presence of the Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the President of the Islamic Community of Kosovo, Mufti Naim Tërnava.
Through the first memorandum, the parties agreed to cooperate in the drafting and implementation of the project for the reconstruction of the Ibër Mosque in Mitrovica, defining the principles and institutional responsibilities in this process.
Meanwhile, the second memorandum aims to continue cooperation in the field of preservation, protection and promotion of the immovable, movable and spiritual cultural heritage of the Islamic faith in the Republic of Kosovo.
