Prime Minister Kurti met with the United Nations Kosovo Team

Prishtina, 31 March 2026

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, held a meeting with the United Nations Kosovo Team (UNKT), led by the UN Development Coordinator, Stephen O’Malley.

The meeting discussed the priorities of the UNKT Strategic Plan 2026–2030, as well as further strengthening cooperation between the Government and the UN. Both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing Kosovo’s development priorities and implementing the 2030 Agenda.

Prime Minister Kurti emphasized the importance of aligning the priorities of the UNKT Strategic Plan with the national development agenda and welcomed their continuity.

UNKT presented its priorities for 2026 and reiterated its readiness to support the Government, both in implementation and in the normative aspect. Particular attention was given to areas where UN agencies can contribute to strengthening institutional capacities and advancing reforms.

Prime Minister Kurti underlined Kosovo’s strong commitment to cooperation with the UN, noting that the Government has also contributed through co-financing UN programmes in the country.

Both parties agreed to continue close cooperation and to further strengthen coordination mechanisms.
