Dear athletes, former athletes, coaches, and members of Kosovo’s sports community,
Dear friends and distinguished guests,
The Olympic Committee of Kosovo has brought us together tonight to honor the highest achievements of our sport in 2025.
Tonight, we celebrate the dedication, discipline, and character that our athletes represent both at home and abroad. Every medal you win, dear champions, is proof of extraordinary talent and relentless effort.
Allow me therefore to thank you all for your continued commitment — for every early morning training session you never missed and for every competition where you raised the flag of Kosovo and where our national anthem was heard with dignity. Thank you very much!
Over the past years, together, we have worked to develop sport within a functional system and sustainable structure that enables long-term growth. We have increased capital investments and financial support, strengthened the legal framework, developed concrete programs to support athletes, and established standards of good governance within the sports sector.
The path we have embarked upon requires continuity and even greater commitment in the years ahead. Support for sport will continue, accompanied by professionalism, meritocracy, and shared responsibility. Public investment in sport represents trust and commitment to our talent — and this requires careful management and concrete results.
The Mediterranean Games Pristina 2030 are a state development project requiring cooperation and commitment from all of us, without distinction. Preparations for them represent a serious inter-institutional and inter-sectoral engagement. Therefore, the Government will continue to be a strong partner in this process, providing sustainable support for their successful organization.
Congratulations to each of the laureates of the year we have left behind! May your successes never cease.
