The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the President of the country, Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, and the Speaker of the Parliament, Dimal Basha, paid homage today at the Racak Massacre Memorial Complex, on the 27th anniversary of the massacre.
“We are here together as heads of institutions, with the Mayor, colleagues from the Government and Parliament, but also with other state officials, to express our pain for this open wound, which still lacks justice, but at the same time our commitment, that we will always be committed to bringing the criminals to justice and punishing them for the atrocities of the past 27 years”, said the Prime Minister.
He recalled that it was Ambassador William Walker, through whom the truth about war crimes, crimes against humanity and the crime of genocide of Serbia as a state against the Albanian people in Kosovo echoed.
Glory to the 45 martyrs of Recak and 11 fallen for the nation, led by Commander Ahmet Kaçiku, Prime Minister Kurti said in the end.

27 years ago, here in Recak, through Ambassador William Walker, the truth about war crimes, crimes against humanity and the crime of genocide committed by Serbia as a state against the Albanian people in Kosovo echoed. After the Recak Massacre, both international public opinion and Western diplomatic offices became aware and mobilized.
We are here together as heads of institutions, with the Mayor of Shtime, with colleagues from the government and parliament, but also with other state officials, to express our pain for this open wound, which still lacks justice, but at the same time our commitment, that we will always be committed to bringing the criminals to justice and punishing them for the atrocities of the past 27 years.
