The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has received a letter from United States Republican Congressman Michael Lawler.
In the letter, Congressman Lawler thanked the Prime Minister for the meeting they held in New York in September of this year. He emphasized that support for the Republic of Kosovo in the United States Congress remains strong and bipartisan.
“Recent legislative actions, including the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026, underscore America’s continued commitment to Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic future. These efforts are essential to promoting long-term stability, security, and the rule of law throughout the Western Balkans,” the letter from Congressman Lawler states.
He conveyed his best wishes to the Prime Minister and his family during the festive season and said he looks forward to continuing close cooperation and constructive engagement in the coming year.
Prime Minister Kurti and Congressman Lawler met in New York at the end of September, during the Prime Minister’s visit to the United States of America. Congressman Lawler is also a member of the U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs.
