The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, welcomed the President of the European Chess Union, Zurab Azmaiparashvili, together with the President of the Mediterranean Chess Federation and at the same time President of the Albanian Chess Federation, Erald Dervishi, accompanied by the President of the Kosovo Chess Federation, Armend Budima.
The meeting took place on the occasion of the organization of the European Chess Championship in Rapid & Blitz, which will be held in Kosovo for the first time.
They also discussed the possibility of including chess in the Mediterranean Games, which will be organized in Kosovo in 2030.
The Head of the European Chess Union thanked the Government of Kosovo for its continued support for the game of chess and its development in the Republic of Kosovo.
