Berlin, 24 November 2025
The next meetings in Berlin of the First Deputy Prime Minister in Office for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, were held in the Bundestag building. He was welcomed in separate meetings by CDU members Peter Beyer and Tilman Kuban.
Together with member Peter Beyer, the Deputy Prime Minister discussed Kosovo’s European integration process, the enlargement process, the current situation in the country and the region, as well as the dialogue process.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi emphasized the country’s economic growth in the last four years, the increase in employment, and the advancement in international index indicators, especially regarding the rule of law.
Regarding the European integration process, the Deputy Prime Minister spoke about the importance of granting candidate country status to Kosovo and the serious treatment of the December 2022 application. He added that the European integration process should be based on meritocracy and our country should be evaluated based on the advancement and progress made.
Regarding the EU measures against Kosovo, the Deputy Prime Minister reiterated that they should be lifted completely and as soon as possible.
Also in the meeting with MP Tilman Kuban, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi emphasized, among other things, the importance of obtaining candidate country status and advancing towards membership in the Council of Europe.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi thanked the MPs for their continued support for Kosovo and the strong partnership between our countries.
