Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi met with Bundestag Member of Parliament, Knut Abraham

The First Deputy Prime Minister in Office for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, has traveled to the capital of Germany, Berlin. At the beginning of his visit, he met with the Bundestag Member of Parliament from the CDU, Knut Abraham.

Together they discussed Kosovo’s path towards European integration and the country’s progress in the last four years. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that during our government mandate, work was done, among other things, to increase employment, complete the visa liberalization process and advance the implementation of the European reform agenda.

The application for membership in 2022 came as a continuation of the positive report on the country, which was an indicator of Kosovo’s progress and readiness for further steps on the path towards the European Union. The Deputy Prime Minister expressed the importance of addressing Kosovo’s application and obtaining the status of candidate country. He also added that Kosovo deserves further steps and the completion of the process towards membership in the Council of Europe.

Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi thanked the MP for his continued support for Kosovo and our country’s journey towards European integration, as well as for the strong relations and close cooperation between our two countries.
