London, 22 October 2025
Following his meeting earlier in the day with the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Yvette Cooper, and after the conclusion of the discussion sessions within the framework of the Berlin Process Summit, on its sidelines, the Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer.
Prime Minister Kurti expressed his high appreciation for the leadership of the United Kingdom and for organizing the 12th Berlin Process Summit, which is being held in London for the second time since 2018.
As they discussed the main themes of the Summit — namely security, growth, and migration — Prime Minister Kurti emphasized the importance of the United Kingdom’s role in strengthening regional cooperation, security, and peace.
They went on to discuss ways to deepen cooperation and support in areas of common interest such as energy, security and defense, infrastructure, and education. Prime Minister Kurti highlighted the cooperation in the field of defense, as Kosovo continues to invest in this sector.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked the United Kingdom for the announcement that the British Armed Forces will continue to support the NATO-led peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, KFOR, for at least another three years, as well as for yesterday’s call during the UN session for the recognition of Kosovo by member states and for Serbia’s extradition of the terrorist Radoičić, who remains at large after the terrorist attack in Banjska, posing a threat to security.
