Prime Minister Kurti welcomed members of the German Association for the United Nations (DGVN)

The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, welcomed members of the German Association for the United Nations (DGVN).

In his conversation with them, Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that cooperation between people and organizations is key in the times we are living in, it is important for democracy, freedom and peace. He then spoke about the achievements and successes of the government during this mandate.

In the last four years, the country’s average economic growth has been around 6%, while according to the IMF, Kosovo will continue to be the first in the region this year in terms of economic growth. This has been achieved, among other things, thanks to the doubling of foreign direct investments, the doubling of exports and the reduction of unemployment. Prime Minister Kurti added that according to the German model, in Kosovo too, we are connecting education with the labor market through the dual system.

Among other achievements of the government and the work carried out over the last four years, the Prime Minister also highlighted the liberalization of visas, which brings free movement to the countries of the Schengen area.

The Prime Minister also spoke about the importance of the diaspora, especially in Germany where about 600 thousand Albanians live, who are a strong bridge in the connection between our two countries. Thanking the German Association for the United Nations for the conversation and the visit to our country, Prime Minister Kurti wished them a fruitful and productive stay in Kosovo.
