In New York, United States of America, the acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met with US Congressman from the Republican Party, Mike Lawler, also a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the House of Representatives of the United States of America.
They discussed ways to deepen the partnership between Kosovo and the United States of America, with particular emphasis on economic cooperation, foreign direct investment and trade exchanges, as well as the important role of our diaspora in this regard. Prime Minister Kurti informed the congressman about the latest developments in the country and the progress achieved in recent years in the economy, democracy, security and the rule of law.
They also discussed the risks and challenges of Russian influence in Europe and the Western Balkans.
Congressman Lawler, at this meeting, informed Prime Minister Kurti of his decision to join the Albanian Affairs Caucus in the US Congress.
