The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Liza Gashi, and the Consul General, Ambassador Blerim Reka, welcomed to the Consulate General of our country in New York, the US Congressman from the Democratic Party, George Latimer.
They discussed the latest developments in Kosovo and the region, and the relations and partnership between Kosovo and the United States of America. The Prime Minister informed him about the progress in the economic field, the results of the fight against corruption and the improvement of the rule of law reflected in international reports. He thanked him for the historic and active role of the United States of America for our country and for the security and peace of the region, as well as for the continuous bipartisan support to the state of Kosovo at every stage of development.
They agreed to continue working together to promote the shared values and interests of our two countries, including investments in infrastructure and economic cooperation, in light of the recent decision of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to remove tariffs on products originating from the United States of America.
