The First Deputy Prime Minister in Office for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, hosted the Albanian MP in the Serbian Parliament, Shaip Kamberi, the Mayor of the Municipality of Preseva, Ardita Sinani, and the President of the Albanian National Council, Enkel Rexhepi.
The meeting discussed the situation in the Preseva Valley and Serbia’s discriminatory and oppressive policies towards Albanians there. The situation of Albanians in Sandzak was also discussed, where the priority remains the issue of preserving and cultivating Albanian identity. It was emphasized that the protection and advancement of the rights of Albanians in Serbia is not only a need but also a necessity.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi emphasized that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo will continue to support Albanians in Sandzak and in the Valley not only to help preserve culture and identity, but also to increase support for programs in line with the needs of the Albanian community there.
