The Acting Government of the Republic of Kosovo held its 264th meeting, during which it:
• Allocated €580,000 for the co-financing of the project for the construction of the School of Music and the Museum of Preshevo.
• Reallocated €1.2 million for 10 capital projects in 10 municipalities: Dragash, Ferizaj, Gjakova, Hani i Elezit, Klina, Mitrovica, Podujeva, Shtime, Prizren, and Mamusha. This support continues under the 2025 Regional Development Program, aimed at fostering balanced and sustainable social and economic development across regions.
• Approved the initiative to conclude the Grant Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo, represented by the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers, and the International Development Association, for the project preparation grant “Program – Boosting and Leveraging Opportunities for Water Security, Phase 2.”
This grant aims to assist the Government in developing a national regulatory framework for dams. The project’s technical assistance ensures that Kosovo is structurally prepared to implement and oversee dam safety, in line with international best practices.
The total grant funding is $1 million, and the project will be implemented by the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning, and Infrastructure.
• Approved the request of the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports to transfer €712,215 in budgetary funds to cover obligations under the Memorandum of Understanding between the MCYS, Volleyball Federation and the Olympic Committee of Kosovo.
• Allocated €2 million to support the employment of citizens from non-majority communities throughout the country, under Measure 1.9 – Employment Support for Individuals from Non-Majority Communities of the Economic Recovery Package.
