The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with members of the government cabinet and officials from the Prime Minister’s Office paid homage and laid fresh flowers near the “Heroinat” Memorial Complex, on the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict.
On this significant international day, the Agency for Gender Equality marked the 20th anniversary of its establishment and on this occasion, in the premises of the “Heroinat” park, organized a symbolic awareness-raising activity, “Greening the Environment”, with decorative plants. “By planting plants, we honor the pain, sacrifice and courage that will never be forgotten!”, reads the inscription on the plaque placed there in memory of women victims of sexual violence during the war.
In these commemorative and awareness-raising tributes, organized by the Agency for Gender Equality within the Office of the Prime Minister, present alongside Prime Minister Kurti were the First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue, Besnik Bislimi, the Acting Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, the Acting Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, the Executive Director of the Agency for Gender Equality, Edi Gusia, as well as Members of Parliament and colleagues from the government cabinet.
