The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, yesterday welcomed the President of the Pan-Albanian Federation of America VATRA, Elmi Berisha.
In this friendly meeting, the historical role and invaluable contribution of the VATRA Association to the Albanian cause for more than a century was highly appreciated, with special emphasis on supporting the freedom of the people and the independence of Kosovo.
VATRA has always been a powerful voice of Albanians in the United States of America, keeping the Kosovo cause alive in the most difficult moments, and helping to raise awareness of the American public and politics about our right to freedom and independence.
Prime Minister Kurti expressed his gratitude for the continuous contribution of the VATRA Association and the importance it continues to have in strengthening ties with the diaspora and the state of Kosovo with the United States of America.
Together they discussed ways and possibilities for cooperation between the country’s institutions and our diaspora association in America to grow and deepen further in service of the interests of the Republic of Kosovo and the Albanian people.
