The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, welcomed the President of the Parliament of the state of Saxony-Anhalt in Germany, Gunnar Schellenberger, to a meeting.
Prime Minister Kurti informed him of the economic development and investment climate during the government mandate, where Kosovo has recorded the highest economic growth rates in the Western Balkans. He emphasized the incentives for domestic and foreign investors, as our country is becoming a more attractive investment destination, especially in the field of technology.
They also talked about government policies for the connection of education with the labor market according to the German model, which is already being developed in the country within the national strategy for the modernization of professional education, with a focus on aligning the curricula with the needs of the labor market.
Prime Minister Kurti also emphasized digital transformation as a key pillar of our reform agenda, while appreciating the experience and expertise that the state of Saxony-Anhalt can share in this regard, with the expansion of broadband internet in rural areas and public administration.
Expressing gratitude for the visit of Mr. Schellenberger and his delegation to Kosovo, the Prime Minister said that it will serve to deepen cooperation, partnership and ties between us. Also present at this meeting was the Ambassador of Kosovo to Germany, Faruk Ajeti.
