During today’s day, the first deputy prime minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi met with Claus Neukirch, Director for the Coordination of Programs of the Council of Europe.
Mr. Neukirch mentioned yesterday’s meeting of the Joint Working Group with the Government of Kosovo as well as the ongoing projects they have and the new projects that will start in the field of rule of law, fundamental rights and other fields.
It was emphasized that Kosovo has included in the Constitution the Convention of Human Rights and has taken concrete steps in the implementation of the Istanbul Convention.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi said that the good cooperation within the mechanisms of the Council of Europe, as well as Kosovo’s performance in democratization, freedom and human rights are evidence that Kosovo deserves to be a full member of this organization.
