State Commission for Marking and Maintenance of the State Border fully denies the next falsehood by Mr. Shpejtim Bulliqi, according to whom “the actual demarcation changes the map of Kosovo _ in state flag”.
The Commission states with full responsibility that this statement is false, unprofessional, with maps drawn by desire and not based on any valid map, legal document and the reality on the ground.
The truth is exactly the opposite of what has said Mr. Bulliqi.
According to all official documents, legal acts, credible maps, field measurements, the map in the flag of the Republic of Kosovo is in full compliance, 100%, with the marking of border between Kosovo and Montenegro, which is proposed for adoption in Assembly.
In fact, if the process would be done according to the requirements of Mr. Bulliqi and bearers of political cause on this issue, the map would have to be changed.
According to border demarcation process made done in full constitutional, legal and professional responsibility by the State Commission, Peja Municipality as always will have 603 square kilometres and therefore the appearance on the map of the flag will be completely the same as it is today.
Meanwhile, according to political and unprofessional claims of Mr Bulliqi, Municipality of Peja should be added over 8,000 hectares that would significantly change the map that is located in the flag today. This area is not known on which cadastral area is and who are its owners.
Also, the Republic of Kosovo, the process conducted by the State Commission, will have as always had 10906 square kilometres, as presented exactly on the map, which is on the state flag However, if were added 8000 hectares claimed by Mr. Bulliqi map of Kosovo should be extended with this territory.
Kosovo border, on maps and official documentation, and _ accurate official coordinates, is unchanged as shown in the attached map of 1974 (see map 1) and 2015 (see map 2), which borders and coordinates were always used by the municipality of Peja.
This means that there were no borderline changes during this period, all other opinions on the border line are speculations or lack of knowledge on this issue
So, claims that with this process the Flag presented on the map of Kosovo should be changed, is a total manipulation and false.
