During the course of excavations at the marked location in Rrezallë village, Municipality of Skenderaj, launched yesterday by the order of the Special Prosecution Office of the Republic of Kosovo, experts from the Department of Forensic Medicine, today has encountered bones, of human origin, which belongs to the period of the last war in Kosovo
Human remains were found exactly in the location where the bodies of civilian victims from the village Rrezallë and other surrounding villages were buried, after the execution on 5 April 1999, by Serbian police and military forces, and exhumed after three weeks to be sent towards an unknown direction until now, in the attempt of Serbian forces to hide traces of the crime.
The work will continue in the following days, until complete closure of this case, namely assessment excavations and exhumations in this location.
