Prime Minister Kurti met with the President of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, at the Bled Strategic Forum

Advancing relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Slovenia was the topic of the meeting between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor.

At the meeting held on the margins of the Bled Strategic Forum, Prime Minister Kurti thanked President Pahor for the ongoing support of Slovenia, an ally and strategic partner of Kosovo. He expressed gratitude for Slovenia’s commitment to visa liberalization for Kosovo and the country’s membership to international organizations.

Prime Minister Kurti reiterated the position of the Republic of Kosovo towards political initiatives that create confusion and division in the Balkans, while confirming Kosovo’s commitment to the EU agenda and transatlantic relations. He praised the fact that Slovenia leads the EU Presidency and welcomes Slovenia’s commitment to support the Republic of Kosovo in its Euro-Atlantic integration goals.

President Pahor stressed that during the EU Presidency, which began in July, one of Slovenia’s priorities is the Western Balkans and the enlargement of the European Union.

The mutual commitment to deepen economic, political and development cooperation between Kosovo and Slovenia and strengthen the partnership between the two countries for the benefit of both peoples, was reaffirmed.
