Prime Minister Kurti hosted the representatives of the Institute for Security Governance (ISG) in a meeting

The long-term commitment of the Institute for Security Governance in structuring and shaping the Ministry of Defence was highly praised in today’s meeting held between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti and representatives of ISG.

Prime Minister Kurti stressed the Government’s commitment to the further development of the Ministry of Defence and to the increase of the operational capacities of the Kosovo Security Force. As with the budget increase of over 100 million euros for next year, the Ministry of Defence will remain a priority of the Government in the coming years.

The topics of discussion during the meeting were the importance of the experience gained during KSF co-deployments and the possibilities of expanding cooperation with partner countries.
Kosovo’s path to NATO was re-emphasized, whereby the aim is to have a modern well-trained force interacting with NATO member states.

Together with Prime Minister Kurti, Minister of Defence, Armend Mehaj and Mrs. Agime Gashaj, Chief of Cabinet at the Ministry of Defence, welcomed the experts Mr. Keith Dunn, Chairman of the ISG Group, Eric Leyde, Program Leader, Mr. Robert Hale, Budget, Planning, Execution and Purchasing Expert Mr. Robert Fix, transition expert, Mr. Bruce Orvis, staff expert and Mr. Lance Jr. Burton, logistics expert, and Colonel Steve Rose, U.S. Defense Attaché.

The Institute for Security Governance (ISG) has been supporting the Ministry of Defence strategically for a decade.
