The independent public television service, based on international examples and best practices, was the topic of a virtual meeting between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti and the Minister of Finance, Labour and Transfers, Hekuran Murati, with the Director General of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), Noel Curran.
Prime Minister Kurti stressed the readiness and commitment of the Government to adopt the best ways of financing Radio Television of Kosovo, according to the principles of the Council of Europe and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
They talked about some of the difficulties faced by the public broadcaster of Kosovo, which are also highlighted in the Progress Report of the European Union.
The government reiterated its support for the EBU governance principles for public service broadcasting and the Declaration of Council of Europe for funding of public service broadcasting, focusing on sustainable and adequate, justifiable and transparent funding to the public.
