Prime Minister Hoti: The country needs a national strategy to reform the pre-university education system

The Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti today met with the Minister of Education and Science, Ramë Likaj and the Mayor of Kamenica, Qëndron Kastrati, with whom he talked about finding a solution after the situation created in pre-university education of this municipality, as a result of the non-attendance of the teaching process by the students of some schools.
Initially, Prime Minister Hoti congratulated Mayor Kastrati on the initiative taken to reform and advance education in this municipality, emphasizing that the country needs a national strategy to reform the pre-university education system.

However, Prime Minister Hoti also stressed that the country’s institutions, central and local, are obliged to create conditions for the inclusion of all students in the learning process. Therefore, from Minister Likaj and Mayor Kastrati, he asked that all possibilities be considered, so that school students, who are not attending school, return to school as soon as possible, while the country’s institutions pledge that will work for a general reform of the pre-university education system, in accordance with the legislation in force, as well as the necessity of building a modern educational system, according to the highest standards of developed western European countries.
