Full speech of Prime Minister Kurti in honor of the victims of the bus accident in Bulgaria:
Dear Deputy Prime Ministers Besnik Bislimi and Emilja Rexhepi,
Dear Ministers and Deputy Ministers,
Dear citizens of the Republic,
A trip, which should have ended with the joy of returning home and evoking fresh memories, was tragically interrupted in the early hours of yesterday morning on the Struma Highway in Bulgaria.
46 passengers, including 12 children, failed to survive the flames that engulfed the bus, which was returning from Turkey to northern Macedonia.
The Republic of Kosovo sympathizes with North Macedonia and all Albanians shocked by this national tragedy.
On my behalf and on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, I express my sincere condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in this tragedy. We wish the injured a quick recovery and wish that such tragedies do not happen again.
As a sign of solidarity and honor for the citizens of North Macedonia, today is a day of state mourning in Kosovo.
Dear Government Cabinet,
I invite you to a moment of silence in honor of the 46 tragically lost lives.
May they not be forgotten!
