At the opening of the meeting of the Ministerial Commission for the design, preparation and implementation of the “Memorial for children killed during the 1998-1999 war in Kosovo” project, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, emphasized the special importance of this process. He reiterated that it is the duty of each of us not to stop seeking justice, and for the truth to emerge for all the lost lives of children during the 1998-1999 war in Kosovo.
In this meeting, the Action Plan for the construction of the Memorial for Children Killed during the War in Kosovo, drawn up by the Working Group mandated by the Decision of the Ministerial Commission, dated October 13, 2022, was reviewed and approved.
I am honored to be part of this very important process, in our joint efforts to commemorate the children killed during the war in Kosovo, said the head of the Working Group, Mrs. Saranda Bogujevci, and Vice President of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.
The Working Group, mandated with the drafting and monitoring of the Action Plan for the construction of the Memorial for Children Killed During the War in Kosovo, with representatives from the Office of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, will be expanded with representatives of the families of children killed during the war, experts, representatives of local and international organizations.
