The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi congratulates the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo on the event of Europe Day, May 9th.

The congratulatory note reads:

On behalf of the Government of Republic of Kosovo, I wish to express my congratulations to all citizens of Kosovo on May 9th, the Europe day, the holiday of the nations of one of the most important continents of our globe.

This day, which is officially marked in Kosovo, symbolizes the emergence of a united Europe, promoting peace and friendship among the nations of the continent.

Kosovo’s institutions and its citizens, once again express their deep gratitude to the countries of the European Union, which contributed in all forms of support, protection, liberation and the building of Kosovo, both in the past and in our days.

The Government of the Republic of Kosovo is engaged every day, with full commitment to fulfil all necessary criteria and standards so that Kosovo may as soon as possible take its deserved place among the countries of the greater European family.

Europe continues to remain a synonym of freedom, democracy, humanism and classical cultural and political values, a place of welfare and a dream of nations wishing to join these universal values.

Institutions and the citizens of Kosovo wish the European nations that they will successfully overcome all economic challenges, and Europe will continue to remain an example of progress, emancipation and of values desired on a global scale.
