The budget for 2023 is presented to the citizens of the Municipality of Gjakova

After the Municipality of Peja yesterday, today, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati and the Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi, presented the budget for 2023 to the citizens of the Municipality of Gjakova.

Being the highest and most comprehensive budget ever, he said that during its drafting, the Government has made sure that this budget is more for everyone.

In addition to more for education, health, agriculture and security, the budget for the next year will also be more for the municipalities.

The budget for the municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo is expected to be about 100 million euros more than this year.

The budget for the Municipality of Gjakova is planned to be more than last year, which is expected to reach the value of 31,558,422 euros.

Among other things, for the next year the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure has allocated 11 million euros for the expansion of the Dollc-Gjakovë road. Over 2.5 million euros are planned in the field of education by the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation and another 1 million in the field of sports, culture and heritage, by the relevant ministry.

After the initial presentations, Prime Minister Kurti together with Minister Murati and Minister Krasniqi had the opportunity to talk with the citizens, answering their questions and comments on budget allocations and projects for the next year.
