The Government of the Republic of Kosovo held a regular meeting, in which it approved twenty-four decisions.
In continuation of the protective measures for consumers and economic operators, in terms of regulating the prices of petroleum products, the Administrative Instruction on the Regulation of the Prices of Petroleum Products and Renewable Fuels and other Protective Measures was completed and amended.
The Government allocated budget funds for the implementation of measure 3.7 of the Economic Recovery Package – Support in overcoming the energy crisis, as well as approved the decision regarding the commitment previously undertaken by the Government to subsidize consumer tariffs, in the amount of 41 million euros. Also, 500,000 euros were allocated to the State Advocacy Office
The Executive Commission for the membership of the Republic of Kosovo in the European Union was established, as an inter-institutional group that will be responsible for the preparation of the application for membership in the EU.
On the Independence Day of Ukraine, the decision was approved for the continuation of support from the Government, for the stay of Ukrainian journalists in the Republic of Kosovo.
In order to strengthen the implementation of the Law on child protection, administrative instructions were approved for the Authorities responsible for the realization of the rights of the child, as well as for the Council on the Rights of the Child.
The Concept Document on Art and Culture was approved, which will lay the foundations for a stable structure for the development of the creative power of Kosovo.
Regulation on Funding of Overseas Deployment of the Kosovo Security Force, as well as Regulation for Competitive Procedures and Admission for Administrative and Support Staff . The latter is aimed at building a stable and professional system for competitive procedures and acceptance for administrative and support employees, in accordance with the principles of the Law on Public Officials.
The Committee for Land Administration and National Infrastructure for Spatial Information of the Republic of Kosovo has been founded.
The final decision for expropriation in the public interest of the immovable properties of the owners and owners of interests, which are affected by the implementation of the Project for the expansion of surface mining for the exploitation of coal for the production of electricity for the needs of the Kosovo Energy Corporation in the cadastral area: Palaj (Caravodica) of the Municipality of Obiliq, has also been approved.
The government has also approved the preliminary decision for expropriation in the public interest of socially owned immovable properties ” Kooperativa Bujqësore 23 Nëntori”, which are affected by the implementation of the project: Extension and Rehabilitation of the existing road in the village of Bajgore, cadastral areas: Selac and Bajgorë Municipality of South Mitrovica.
The initiative for the conclusion of the agreement for the recognition of the professional qualifications of nurses, midwives, pharmacists and veterinarians at the level of member countries of the Council for Regional Cooperation also received approval from the government cabinet.
A decision was made to oblige all public institutions to provide access to drinking water, within all institutions and public spaces. The decision obliges all public institutions to ensure the maintenance of existing reservoirs, booster pumps and the system as a whole within all institutions and public spaces, as well as to be provided with a water quality certificate from the National Institute for Public Health and expose the same near the faucets installed for water consumption.
Also, a decision was made to announce special public interest for immovable properties, which are necessary for the realization of infrastructure projects for public interest.
In today’s meeting, the Legislative Program for 2022 was completed.
Five draft laws received the approval of the government cabinet:
Draft Law for the Ratification of the Financing Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo represented by the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers and the International Development Association for the “Kosovo Social Assistance System Reform Project”. This agreement, in the amount of 47 million euro, aims to improve policies and social assistance for families in need and advance integrated social systems.
Draft Law for the Ratification of Decision No. 1/2022 of the EU- Kosovo Stabilization Association Council for the Amendment of the Stabilization and Association Agreement between the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community and Kosovo, to replace Protocol III regarding the concept of “Originating Products”.
Draft Law on Ratification of the Bilateral Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The ratification of this Draft Law will enable the further implementation of the guaranteed utilization in the amount of 35 million euros, pledged by the Duchy of Luxembourg for the Republic of Kosovo. Draft Law on the Ratification of “Addendum 2 of the Financial Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the European Union for the IPA Program 2015″. The purpose of Addendum 2 of this agreement is to extend the deadline for the implementation of the 2015 IPA annual program, even for an additional year.
Draft Law on the Ratification of “Addendum No. 2 of the Financial Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the European Union for the IPA Program 2018”. This change aims to reallocate funds under objective 2 and aims to extend the operational completion period by one year.
