The Government of the Republic of Kosovo has enabled the provision of textbooks in the Albanian language for the students of primary schools in the Presheva Valley.
The First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, together with the Minister of the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, distributed the textbooks to students in the “Muharrem Kadriu” primary school in the village of Tërnoc i Madh in Bujanoc and “Zenel Hajdini” primary school in the village of Rainca in Presheva.
“It is important that what was missing earlier in the field of education, such as the supply of textbooks in the Albanian language, is not missing for future generations and they have the texts in their language,” Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi said.
Mr Bislimi and Ms Nagavci expressed the special pleasure of sharing these texts for the first time in the Presheva Valley. The directors of these schools welcomed and expressed gratitude for this Government initiative and highly appreciated the contribution made. Symbolic gifts were given by the directors, such as books and literature in the Albanian language, written by authors from the Presheva Valley.
The amount made available for the insurance of the texts reaches the figure of 255 thousand euros. In these visits, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi and Minister Nagavci were accompanied by the Chairman of the Albanian National Council, Ragmi Mustafi.
