Dear members of the cabinet,
Dear citizens,
Welcome to the first meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo for 2023 and the 118th meeting in total.
We are starting another new year, but at the same time we are approaching the end of another year of our government.
The commitment, work and results in 2022 must be the minimum of the commitment, work and results of 2023. So let’s continue the race with ourselves, with the conviction that our potential is greater than the actuality we have.
We have started well, since on the third day of the year, before we reach the halfway point of our mandate, we fulfilled the promise of allowances for all children under the age of 16.
And today, in the second week and in the first meeting for this year, we have on the agenda the approval of the Draft Law on Sustainable Investments. Through it, we aim to protect and attract investments, lay the groundwork to support local industry and sustainable employment, empower youth and women, and deepen cooperation with our diaspora.
With defense, the economy, democracy and the rule of law in the binary, as well as with the budget for this year already approved in the Assembly, we entered 2023 with more certainty, with more confidence for the future, which we aim for and the future , which we deserve.
Our zeal and commitment to implement the governing program and to implement deep and transformative reforms will not rest even for a day.
The year 2023 will be more for education, health, the army, agriculture, economy and culture, the year of education, health, equality, justice, well-being, security, production and economic and social development, the year of all citizens and for the Republic.
We will answer the challenges. We will turn difficulties into opportunities. Facing them will define us as a people, as a society and as a state.
