Prime Minister Kurti welcomes the Minister for Europe of the United Kingdom, Docherty, in a meeting

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, received today in a meeting the Minister for Europe of the United Kingdom, Leo Docherty, who is staying in Kosovo on an official visit.

Speaking about the excellent relations between Kosovo and the United Kingdom, Prime Minister Kurti expressed his gratitude for the early and continuous assistance and support of the United Kingdom for the liberation, state building, development and advancement of Kosovo. In the meantime, the United Kingdom’s support for Kosovo’s membership in international organizations and good cooperation in the field of security was emphasized.

Among other things, Prime Minister Kurti informed Minister Docherty about the latest developments, where he singled out the submission of Kosovo’s application for membership in the European Union yesterday in Prague, the government’s achievements, the reforms so far and the country’s economic and democratic indicators.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Kurti was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Kreshnik Ahmeti, while Minister Docherty was accompanied by the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Kosovo, Nicholas Abbott and the head of the Department for the Western Balkans in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom,Madeline Knox.
