Prime Minister Kurti welcomed the member of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, at the same time the envoy for Trade in the Western Balkans, Martin Vickers

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, welcomed the member of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from the ranks of the Conservative Party, at the same time the envoy for Trade of the United Kingdom for the Western Balkans, Martin Vickers, who was accompanied by the Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Kosovo, Nicholas Abbott.

Thanking for the visit on the eve of the 15th anniversary of the declaration of Independence, Prime Minister Kurti expressed his gratitude and that of the people of Kosovo for the help and contribution of the United Kingdom for the liberation, independence and development of Kosovo.

He informed Mr. Vickers for the current political developments in the country and for the work of the Government, which next month marks its 2nd anniversary. Special attention was given to the environment for doing business, the role of the functioning of the Commercial Court in that direction, and Kosovo’s offer for foreign investment from investors and companies from the United Kingdom. It was also discussed about the potential of Kosovo in renewable energy and the potential of investments in this sector.

Member of Parliament of the United Kingdom, Vickers expressed his satisfaction that he is in Kosovo on the eve of the celebration of the 15th anniversary of Independence, considering the strong bilateral relations between the two countries. Considering the potential that Kosovo offers for foreign investors and the warm relations between Kosovo and the United Kingdom, Mr. Vicker invited Prime Minister Kurti to visit the United Kingdom at an appropriate time in order to further deepen cooperation, especially in the economic and trade exchanges.
