Prime Minister Kurti was received in the meeting by Jüri Ratas, Speaker of the Estonian Parliament

On his official visit to Estonia, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, was received in a meeting by the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Estonia, Jüri Ratas.

In this meeting, excellent bilateral relations were appreciated, important issues for common security were discussed, as well as areas of cooperation that strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
Prime Minister Kurti expressed gratitude for Estonia’s support in the path of our country’s Euro-Atlantic integration, as well as for the visa liberalization process for our citizens.

He emphasized the reforms undertaken during the current government, the progress achieved in the economy and the improvements in democratic indicators in the country.

The importance of solidarity with the Ukrainian state and people was discussed, as well as the consequences of the Russian Federation’s military aggression against Ukraine. Also, they talked about Russia’s destabilizing influence in the Western Balkans region, as well as the danger it poses to the collective security of Europe and the values of freedom and democracy.

In the Parliament of the Republic of Estonia, Riigikogu, Prime Minister Kurti was also received in a meeting by the Chairman of the Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, Andres Sutt.

Part of the delegation of the Republic of Kosovo, who are accompanying Prime Minister Kurti on this official visit, are the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Emilija Rexhepi, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Hajrulla Çeku, the non-resident ambassador of Kosovo in Estonia, Shkëndije Geci – Sherifi and adviser to the prime minister, Lulëzon Jagxhiu.
