During the working visit to the Republic of Albania, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, after the meeting with the President of Albania, Begaj, was received in a meeting by the Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania, Lindita Nikolla.
During the conversation, it was emphasized the intensification of cooperation between the two assemblies, the cooperation of deputies in international forums and organizations, and that between Kosovo and Albania in the field of European integration, in addition to the close relations between our two countries.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked Speaker Nikolla for the warm hospitality. He informed her of the results of the government so far, which turned two years old last week, about economic indicators, with an emphasis on the continuous growth of exports and about international reports that prove progress in the rule of law, the fight against corruption, and the reforms undertaken. The EU Country Report for 2022 was singled out as the best ever for Kosovo, which concluded that Kosovo had no areas without progress, and no areas with regression.
In this joint meeting, Prime Minister Kurti informed President Nikola about the March 18 meeting in Ohrid, North Macedonia and about the agreement reached on the implementation of the Basic Agreement, which Mrs. Nikola described it as a good step forward for the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia and Kosovo’s European journey.
In the meeting, Prime Minister Kurti was accompanied by his staff and the ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to Albania, Skënder Durmishi.
