The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, was received today in a meeting by the Bishop of the Diocese of Kosovo, Monsignor Dodë Gjergji.
In the meeting, the commitment of the Government to the guarantee and full respect of religious freedom, equally, for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo was emphasized.
Prime Minister Kurti expressed gratitude for the support and contribution given by the Bishopric of Kosovo. He thanked the Bishop for his cooperation on the Draft Law on Religious Freedoms.
Discussing the importance of regulating the legal status of the Catholic Church, the commitment of the Government to regulate it through the law was confirmed.
In the joint meeting with the Prime Minister’s legal advisor, Tea Blakaj Hoxha, they discussed religious freedoms and cultural heritage. Their protection through the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and special laws was reiterated.
