After the 10th meeting of the joint Parliamentary Committee for the Stabilization and Association Agreement, Prime Minister Kurti was hosted by the chairman of the “Renew Europe” parliamentary group, MEP Stephane Sejourne, accompanied by his colleagues Ilhan Kyuchyuk, Dragos Tudorache and Klemen Groselj.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked the MEPs and their parliamentary group for their positioning and positive attitude towards visa liberalization for Kosovo, a process which we expect to be successfully finalized soon. The parties also discussed the journey towards the European Union of the Republic of Kosovo and applications for membership in the EU and the Council of Europe.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Kurti announced the reforms so far and the results achieved during the last two years.
Our country continues to improve in economic and democratic indicators, which have translated into the ranking of Kosovo among the countries with the highest progress of democracy in the region and beyond. The rule and implementation of the law, the fight against organized crime and corruption are contributing to the consolidation of the rule of law, as the basis of justice, democracy and development.
The meeting was concluded by discussing the dialogue process, the European proposal for the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia and the March 18 meeting.
