The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, visited the Municipality of Gjilan, where he met the Mayor of Gjilan, Alban Hyseni.
In the meeting held in the Office of the Mayor of the Municipality of Gjilan, Prime Minister Kurti was informed about the 10-month work of Mayor Hyseni, about his results, plans, projects, as well as about the situation with the problems and challenges faced by this municipality.
During the presentation of achievements, the increase in the value of scholarships for students by 150%, the increase of the sports budget by 50%, while the sports gym in Zhegër is nearing completion, the reduction of 5 million euros of accumulated debts for more than a decade and the municipality’s investments worth 6 million euros were singled out.
Thanking for the hospitality, Prime Minister Kurti said that such a good and fair government will have the support of the central level in order to benefit the citizens..
The need to save electricity on the eve of winter and the actions and measures that the Government has undertaken to ease the situation and reward frugal citizens were also discussed. It was emphasized the need to listen attentively and to follow with dedication the instructions of the Minister of Economy, Artan Rizvanolli and the institutions of the Government to save electricity.
After the meeting, Prime Minister Kurti and Mayor Hyseni held a joint press conference.
Previously, Prime Minister Kurti, during his stay in Gjilan, had participated in the laying of the foundation stone of the Family Medicine Center in the Arbëria neighborhood of Gjilan and had visited the factory for the production of sweets “Bujana” which among the workers has employees two people with special needs.
