Prime Minister Kurti talked with the citizens of Ferizaj Municipality about the 2023 budget

Following his visits to the municipalities of Kosovo, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, in Ferizaj talked with the residents of this municipality about the 2023 budget.

Economic growth and development is expected with the 2023 budget, which is the highest and most comprehensive ever. The draft budget of 2023 amounts to 3 billion and 212 million euros. So it is 8.7% or 220 million euros more than that of 2022, said Prime Minister Kurti.

In accordance with the Government Program 2021-2025, with the 2023 budget we will continue support for education, health, agriculture and security. Within the budget, the addition of values for capital investments, goods and services, which reach the value of 1.3 billion euros, is foreseen. This will also contribute to increasing business activity and increasing economic development, said the Prime Minister.

In his speech to the citizens of this municipality, the Prime Minister talked about the budget allocation for the Municipality of Ferizaj, where the planned budget for 2023 is over €38 million. While the budget dedicated to local government and municipalities is planned to increase by around €100 million, from €560 in 2022 to €660 million in 2023.

Together with the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati and the Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi, the Prime Minister talked about the projects planned for 2023, the new initiatives and those that are continuing, which aim to increase citizens’ well-being and the development of our Republic.

After his speech and the presentation of the budget for 2023, Prime Minister Kurti together with Minister Murati and Minister Krasniqi talked with the citizens about the budget allocations for the next year.
