Through a letter addressed to the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, on behalf of the Government and the people of Kosovo, has expressed his deepest condolences to him and the families of the victims of the earthquake that struck Turkey today, while He wished the injured a speedy recovery.
In the letter, it is further stated that in this difficult time, the Republic of Kosovo stands by the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish people and is ready, on the basis of its capacities, with the Kosovo Security Force, the Kosovo Police, the Agency for the Management of Emergencies and medical teams, to help overcome this tragedy.
We point out that today, a few moments ago, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo approved the decision to send the KSF Contingent for humanitarian aid to the regions affected by today’s earthquake.
