The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by members of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo from the ranks of the Parliamentary Group of the VETËVENDOSJE Movement! Paid tribute to the tombstone in Vranic, Gjakova, in honor of the martyrs of the Lleshi family, on the occasion of the 24 – the anniversary of their fall for the homeland.
Prime Minister Kurti said that four martyrs of the Lleshi family from Vranic of Gjakova fell in the liberation war. Marku and Kola on 7 August, 1998 in the battle of Vranic and Prendi and Mema on 28 January, 1999 in the battle of Godeni.
“We commemorated them with honor and pride on their 24th anniversary, of their blood that became our freedom. Lokja Hanë and Gega led us in today’s tributes to their grave and the temple tombstone with four pillars”, he said.
While recalling the Kosovo Liberation Army, Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that a quarter of a century ago, the KLA organized the people in an uprising against the Serbian invader and occupier who committed genocide in Kosovo.
As the prime minister further added, Serbia’s aggression and crimes and our resistance and endurance are the historical and factual truth.
“Glory to all the martyrs of the Albanian nation”, Prime Minister Kurti said at the end.
