The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, participated in the 19th edition of the Vienna Economic Forum.
He was a main speaker in the second panel of the forum on “Ensuring regional economic development in an uncertain environment”.
In his address, Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that in addition to the development of the economy, Kosovo has also made progress in strengthening democracy in the country. He said that regional economic development depends on the proximity of each of the six states of the Western Balkans to democratic values and aspirations for membership in the European Union.
Furthermore, he shared with the participants of the forum the latest data of economic indicators in the country and the main findings of international reports, which prove the marked improvements in the fight against corruption, the rule of law and freedom of the media.
Calling for foreign investments in Kosovo, Prime Minister Kurti presented the advantages and opportunities that our country offers to foreign investors and the Government’s plans for investments in infrastructure, environment and renewable energy.
The Vienna Economic Forum brings together senior representatives, shareholders and policy-makers of the regional, European and world economy, with the aim of offering concrete initiatives in support of the development of regional cooperation.
